Life Story / Ordination
MY LIFE STORY
Every pastor has a story. Some peculiar. Some extra spectacular. My calling was more of a process. How I became a pastor is a long story. I have written part of the story in fulfillment of my chaplaincy requirement during my ministerial internship training. I am sharing it with you. May it help inspire others who are having doubts whether they have been called into the pastoral ministry.

ORDINATION
My pastoral ministry began in 1996 and was ordained as a minister of the gospel on May 2, 2008 during the 7th Constituency session of the Central Luzon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

My pastoral ministry began in 1996 and was ordained as a minister of the gospel on May 2, 2008 during the 7th Constituency session of the Central Luzon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
“Ordination is God’s act of election that sets apart a servant exclusively for His holy purpose. In the witness of God’s bride—the church, He declares, ‘Here’s my servant, I have personally selected him to lead my people. As the Triune God lays hands on him, through his continual submission to the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he will be changed into the minister I wanted him to be—a con- secrated pastor, a spiritual leader, a man of character, an obedient slave, a ministry equipper, a community servant, a faithful husband, and a loving father. I now hand him over to the church as her servant.’” – Pastor Ardison D. Bernardo
